The Rotary Club Vienna Maria Theresia has been established to provide a home for the globally minded Rotarians and their guests here in the city of Vienna with its strong international community. The language of the club is English. Many founding members were graduates of the Diplomatic Academy, and practically all members have very international careers in public service, international organisations, international business or any other global activity.
We have strong ties to the Diplomatic Academy Vienna and the international community.

The founding idea for the RC Vienna Maria Theresia is to create a Rotarian forum in Vienna for English speaking internationally oriented people of all professions

Being inspired by a vision for a better, healthier, more peaceful and more equitable world

Aiming to compose an equally balanced membership of internationally minded people anchored in Vienna’s many international organizations, institutions and business communities

Recognizing that international relations is a comprehensive field potentially involving all professions and not being limited to the foreign service profession

Maria Theresia, the club’s name Patron, is the founder of the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE
As members of the Rotary Club Vienna Maria Theresia and those interested in making a difference, we get involved. We learn about the issues facing our target audience and our community at large. We engage with local, national and global partners, exchange ideas about potential solutions and draw up action plans. In particular, we promote and support education and training in the fields of international relations and the realisation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Rotary Vienna Maria Theresia is an integrated part of the community of Vienna and of Rotary International. Rotary is a global network of more than 1.2 million members who believe that great things happen when dedicated minds come together. We, Rotarians, are community and business leaders representing different professions, experiences and perspectives and a shared desire to connect with others to address the challenges affecting our community and communities around the world. We put service above self!
